At the Civic Center of the Parish of Fóios, county of Sabugal, there is the exhibition "Côa river: reinvent the art from the spring to the mouth", a result of a collaboration between the Parish of Fóios, the County of Sabugal and the Foundation Côa Parque.
From the spring to the mouth, the Côa river holds a vast and ancient artistic heritage – among the oldest of mankind. This exhibition in Fóios, where the Côa has its spring, intends to emphasize the artistic heritages in this territory. The Côa river became world famous after the discovery of the rock art complex located in its terminal section. However, over the more than 130 kilometers of is valley, many other manifestations of rock art occur. This exhibition, symbolically placed near the Côa spring, refers to the rock art known throughout the Côa Valley, from the spring to the mouth.
