It was the first identified Upper Paleolithic rock art site in the Côa Valley. It is located in an ancient fluvial beach on the left shore of the river, and its 46 engraved panels are distributed along the overhanging slope. The quantity and quality of Upper Paleolithic figurations should be highlighted, albeit the fact most became submerged since the construction of the Pocinho dam. Several motifs of modern and contemporary chronology are also present in the site.
